Class of 2026 —

This post explains how Transfer and/or Download your Google data.

These tools are only enabled for students in the class of 2026.

Your Boylan Student Google accounts will be deactivated on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

You must take action to transfer (option 1) and/or export (option 2) your Google data before this deadline.
Google offers TWO options to take your Google data with you.
Please read the following information and select one or both options to suit your needs.

**TRANSFER (option 1), our recommended method:**

🛑 STOP! Personal Google Accounts (free ones) only have 15GB of storage before you have to start paying for more storage. Check how much storage space you are using on Drive, etc., before using the recommended option below. Details on how to manage your Drive storage can be found here.

TRANSFER your email messages and/or Google Drive files to another Google Account using Google's Takeout Transfer service.

⚠️ WARNING! Depending on how much data you have in your email and/or Google Drive, Google states that it can take up to two weeks to transfer your data. Please do not wait until the last minute.
Directions: Log into your Boylan email account, then visit the Google Takeout Transfer service here.

**EXPORT (option 2), alternative method that requires a download:**

🛑 STOP! The export option will take several hours, maybe even 24+ depending on how much data you have and select to export.

EXPORT (aka download) an archive to your computer/device of all of your Google data, including email messages, Google Drive files (converted), and more, using Google Takeout "Download your data" (Create Archive) service.

⚠️ WARNING! Depending on how much data you have (and which items you select), it will take several hours to create your archive. Please do not wait until the last minute.
Directions: Log into your Boylan email account, then visit the Google Takeout "Export" service here.

IMPORTANT:

Once accounts are deactivated, we are unable to restore content.
You (students) will receive additional reminders via their Boylan email as the deadline approaches; however, you should not wait until the last minute as both services require time to process your data.
